With summer now in full swing, many people are enjoying spending time lounging around their pools. Especially if you are hosting a major summer time event like a graduation party or even possibly a wedding rehearsal dinner. Well now is the time to invest in some brand new outdoor pool furniture. Even if you have furniture already, maybe it is time to upgrade. If you are reading this and it is the winter time, don’t worry, this is the best time to get great deals as outdoor pool furniture is usually discounted during “off season” times of the year. You should really look at the different styles and types of furniture available.
How about putting a bar poolside? Just think of the hours of enjoyment that this would be. While many people will just have a cooler filled with beer, why not add a touch of class with your outdoor pool furniture and add a bar with a few barstools as well. Just think of how this would come in handy. No more running to the house to mix drinks for your guests. Just walk over to the new bar and you will be in business. It will also add a touch of class to your pool area.
Obviously, your outdoor pool furniture collection wouldn’t be complete without numerous tables and chairs. When selecting these, make sure you get a style that goes well with the theme that you are trying to reach. With that being said, if you are looking for a 1970’s retro setting, you probably wouldn’t want to go out and buy some rustic, old western style tables and chairs. Just make sure that you shop around to get the best price and style for your outdoor pool furniture.
Depending on where you live, you should probably considering adding some large umbrellas or parasols to your outdoor pool furniture. You can actually buy these separate or as part of your tables. Usually, the tables will come with holes in the center of them. All you would have to do is drop the umbrella into the center hole and wham, you have an all in one set. You can also buy the umbrella as a single element as well. The advantage of doing this is that you do not have to place them with your tables. They are more mobile so depending on where the sun is shining, you can move them to keep your guest comfortable. Once again, make sure that you are choosing the correct design styles that you are looking to create. Don’t be tacky or skimp on the costs by sacrificing style. You will not be happy in the long run.
So there you have it. Outdoor pool furniture will really bring to life your backyard setting. There are many great companies that offer a wide selection of styles and themes. All you have to do is shop around. I usually shop on-line for the best deals. Don’t forget to add shipping into your consideration. You can also find many on-line retailers that will offer you free shipping with a minimum purchase order so try and buy all of your outdoor pool furniture at the same place. When it arrives, place it where you want it around your pool. Then, host a party and start enjoying your brand new outdoor pool furniture for many years to come.

Another option to sprucing up that back yard is by using outdoor carpet tiles. Outdoor carpet tiles are actually square pieces of rug that you can place on your deck. The neat thing about them is that you can actually interlock them. Design ideas are also unlimited. You can buy different colors to create a unique ambiance in you outdoor living area. Just think of the ideas that you can come up when putting together a rug pattern with over 4 or 5 different colors. The only barrier that you should come across is your own imagination. Don’t be afraid to experiment as using these tiles can bring you years of enjoyment to you backyard or front yard deck or patio.
Another place that is often overlooked for placing outdoor carpet tiles is your pool area. If you have an in-ground pool, or even an above ground pool with a deck around it, you can places the tiles around certain areas. If your in-ground pool has a concrete slab around it, just think of how mice it would look with some carpeting placed in certain areas. You could even box off a certain area and use it for a bar. Lay the tiles in any design you want, place a bar and some bar stools on top of them. It will definitely add a touch of class to your backyard swimming pool.
You are probably wondering about the durability of outdoor carpet tiles? Well they hold up just like any other indoor outdoor rugs. They are really nice to lay in the high traffic areas that have been discussed already. One of the nice things about tiles over rugs is that if a certain part of your carpeting gets damaged (think kids spilling kool-aid) then all you have to do is to replace the one square, not the entire rug like you would have to do with other options. This will save you a lot of time and money if you happen to be the neighborhood house that all of the kids spend a lot of time at.
If you are looking to go an entirely different direction with styles or themes with our outdoor carpet tiles then use something made up of olefin. What that will look like is artificial grass type rug. The best thing about olefin is that it isn’t as pricey. So if you are on a budget but in a hurry to get started, this is another option that you have to decorate the backyard.
One thing I forgot to mention is that most types of outdoor carpet tiles will require padding of some sort. You can usually pick some up at the same place that you bought your tiles. Just be sure to find out if the tiles you buy need some sort of sub-floor, or padding.
As you can see, outdoor carpet tiles are another option then what has previously mentioned on this site. Cost is about the same but as stated before, you can really get creative using outdoor carpet tiles to do your decorating with.

Outdoor area rugs can really bring a sense of style and class to your summer barbeque. Just think, how good your deck or patio would look with one of the high quality outdoor area rugs that are out on the market, showcasing your outside living area. Impress your friends and family members by adding a touch of class.
The first thing you should probably consider before purchasing a rug is size. You really should get one that will do what you are looking for it to do. Make sure you get one of the outdoor area rugs that will cover the entire area that you intend it to. Make sure you take all the proper measurements and write them down. Then go to your computer, if shopping online, and do a search for what you are looking for. If you are shopping at a retail store, do forget to bring your list with the proper sizes. I also bring a tape measure as well to get the exact dimensions of the new rug that I am thinking of buying.
The next consideration is probably price. Don’t over spend. Make sure you shop for the style that you want, but do your homework. If you are looking to decorate with a western theme, then don’t come with some contemporary carpet. It just doesn’t fit the theme that you are going for in decorating your outdoor area. What to spend is totally up to you and your budget. While there are many cost effective outdoor area rugs out there, do skimp to much on price. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.
How about durability? When I am shopping for outdoor area rugs, this is probably the first thing I look for. You must consider a few things. Will the rug be placed in a covered area or will it be out in the open? Another thing to consider is how much traffic to you expect to have walking on your rug. If the rug is going to be exposed to sunlight directly, then stay away from the cotton fabric rugs. Go with one that will be protected by the suns UV rays. If the area is covered, then a cotton rug will do the trick. The cotton style outdoor area rugs will also be a little me cost effective for you.
As touched on a bit earlier, design is also an important factor. Color and style you are going for will play a major part in your purchase. If you have a large amount of aluminum or stainless steel items in your yard (Grill, Umbrella Poles, etc.) then it would probably be best to stick with that theme instead of going out and buying all new items. In this case, just buy a rug that is more modern and sleek.
So make sure you shop around and do some comparison shopping. There are a lot of great online vendors as well as retail stores that should offer you the best selection when picking choosing one of the outdoor area rugs that are offered on the market.

If you are like most Americans, you probably enjoy entertaining outdoors during the spring and summer months. Well why not spruce up your backyard space with some indoor outdoor carpeting. Just think how great those outside play areas will look where the kids are always hanging out. Even your concrete patios or your wooden deck would look like a new place with some quality indoor outdoor carpeting installed. So why not impress your guest and spruce up that backyard.
Before going out and buying indoor outdoor carpeting, you need to get a good measurement of the area in which you want the rug to cover. There is nothing worse then going to your local rug vendor and then overspending on a carpet because you bought too much rug. So take the time and really plan accordingly before you go out and spend the money on something that you don’t really need, and that is too much carpet.
The next thing that you should really consider is what type of design you are going for. If you have not shopped for indoor outdoor carpeting in a while you will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of choices that are out there. Back in the day all that was really available was that ugly green looking stuff. Remember the Brady Bunch house? There backyard was covered with that green Astroturf looking carpet. For those of us that grew up in the 70’s, you understand what I’m talking about. So as you start to shop for your indoor outdoor carpeting, you will notice how many different style that are out there. With that being said, just make sure you buy exactly the type you want.
When choosing a style, please consider your landscaping. If you have small rolling hills in your backyard then you should probably buy indoor outdoor carpeting that will go with that type of landscape. Do you have a lot of yard bricks in you backyard? Then consider buy a rug that will bring out the bricks. No I am not a design specialist but this really makes sense to go with what the backyard already looks like.
We stated earlier a little about pricing. Well common sense says that the more indoor outdoor carpeting you buy, the more you will pay. If money isn’t an object, then go with a top of the line rug that you can enjoy year after year. It will bring you a lot of enjoyment. If cost is a factor in your decision, the best advice I can give you is to really shop around. There are some places online that will be much cheaper then going to your local carpet store. Many will even offer free shipping as well. So really just take your time and do your research before you buy anything.
In conclusion, you can really add so much to your backyard by adding some indoor outdoor carpeting to your outside meeting places. As long as you get the right design for the price you are willing to pay, you will end up a happy consumer.
